Our history
Our office in Mauritius, established in
1997, is, we believe, the only truly independent
actuarial, employee benefits and investment consultancy
firm in the country. Aon provides actuarial and/or
investment consultancy services to more than 200 clients
in Mauritius and other countries with total scheme
assets in excess of MUR100billion. Aon has

associates in Mauritius and is the leading provider of HR and
employee benefit consulting and outsourcing services.

Our consulting philosophy is one which
emphasizes a continuing dialogue with clients and, wherever
possible, a consultative approach to decision-making. We
strive to be proactive, sharing ideas with clients on new
developments as they occur and encouraging two-way
dialogues, thereby helping them solve problems in an

the individual client’s situation and needs. The choice
of approach towards benefit arrangements is influenced
by the plan’s governance structure and the framework
created by regulatory requirements and actuarial
practice, but we are always guided by our professional
codes of conduct to ensure that, for example, funding
arrangements provide appropriate security for the
entitlements of the plan participants.
